The University of Maryland Police Department Teams with Drug Enforcement Administration for National Prescription Drug Take Back Day

College Park, MD – On Saturday, April 22, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. the University of Maryland Police Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration will host DEA’s National Prescription Drug Take Back Day at locations across the country. DEA and its partners will collect tablets, capsules, patches, and other solid forms of prescription drugs.

New Explosive Detection K9 Unit

                      College Park, MD – The University of Maryland Police Department is proud to announce the inception of its Explosive Detection K9 program. Four UMPD handler-K9 pairs have completed a rigorous four month training course and are graduating Friday, August 10th.
