Preferred Path to Campus and Metro

A partnership between the University of Maryland and the City of College Park resulted in a collaborative effort to facilitate security enhancements along College Avenue, Rhode Island Avenue and Calvert Road on the east side of Baltimore Avenue. Please view the map of the preferred path below.

Changes to these streets included increased lighting, landscaping modifications and the addition of Blue Light Emergency Phones (locations shown in blue on map above).

These enhancements make these streets the preferred path of travel when walking between the University of Maryland campus and the College Park Metro station.
