The UMD Guardian app is a free personal safety app available to students, faculty, and staff. The app allows users to initiate a safety timer session, place an emergency call to UMPD, or text a tip to UMPD.
MHEART
The Mental Health Emergency Assessment and Response Team (MHEART) is a collaborative team of licensed mental health clinicians and University of Maryland police officers who respond to mental health crises on and around the University of Maryland, College Park campus.
We have no greater priority than the safety of our students, faculty, staff and visitors to our campus, and a truly safe campus is achieved through the cooperation of everyone.
