INCIDENT:                 Robbery (No Weapon)

**Community Notice** The purpose of this e-mail is to make you aware of an incident that occurred off-campus near the University of Maryland, College Park campus. The following is a synopsis of an incident reported to the Prince George's County Police Department.

A UMD Text Alert was sent overnight for a robbery (no weapon). The incident occurred at the UMGC Parking Garage. For more details and to see the alerts, visit https://alert.umd.edu/alerts

Last week six UMPD employees were recognized at the Police Chiefs’ Association of Prince George’s County Annual Awards Ceremony. Three earned county-wide recognition in the small agency category for the Chiefs' Association. We are extremely proud of you. Congratulations!   The following received departmental awards: Corporal Melissa Fischer and Teddy the Terp - Community Service Officer of the Year

Congratulations to MPO Edwards (pictured on the left) and Cpl. Fogleman (pictured on the right) on graduating from the University of Maryland Driving Under the Influence (DUI) Institute. Pictured with Sgt. Rocca, who was an instructor/liaison. The DUI Institute was held from June 4 to June 9, 2023.
