On Saturday, April 25, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. the University of Maryland Police Department in partnership with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) is participating in DEA's National Prescription Drug Take Back Day.
During this event, members of the community can safely dispose of their unwanted, unused and/or expired prescription drugs at the Pocomoke Building (7569 Baltimore Avenue, College Park, MD).
This service is free and anonymous. No questions asked. Collection sites will accept tablets, capsules, patches, and other solid forms of prescription drugs.
Collection sites will not accept syringes, sharps, and illicit drugs. Liquid products, such as cough syrup, should remain sealed in their original container. The cap must be tightly sealed to prevent leakage.
