The University of Maryland Police Department is proud to announce the hiring of two new officers into the agency.  Officer Sarra Daniels joins UMPD after three years of law enforcement servcie with the Calvert County Sheriff's Office.  Officer Barton Brady brings with him 17 years of law enforcement experience, having worked for the Hyattsville City Police Department. Officers Brady and Daniels were sworn in by University of Maryland Police Chief David B. Mitchell on Monday, November 10, 2014.
