INCIDENT: Shots Fired OCCURRED: July 18, 2021/ Approximately 8:30 a.m. LOCATION: Elkins Building (3300 Metzerott Road), College Park, Maryland UMPD CASE #: 2021-54556 BRIEF DETAILS: On July 18, 2021, at approximately 8:30 a.m., a University of Maryland Police Department Officer was walking through the Elkins Building when the officer heard a loud banging noise. A search of the loading dock area was conducted in which shell casings were found. There was no property damage. The University of Maryland Police Department, Criminal Investigations Unit is investigating this incident.
