Dear Campus Community, Last night shortly after 11 PM, the University of Maryland Police Department (UMPD) and the Prince George?s County Police Department (PGPD) responded to a report of a shooting at The Hotel at the University of Maryland. PGPD is leading this investigation and has provided the following update, including information on the status of the victims and images of two persons of interest: https://pgpolice.blogspot.com/2020/11/pgpd-releases-surveillance-pictur… At this point, we have no information that any of the victims are affiliated with the University of Maryland community. UMPD assisted PGPD with scene security and traffic control and provided first aid to one of the victims. The safety of the University of Maryland and our surrounding community remains our highest priority. Chief David B.
